Why are Aussie Fleece natural sheepskins different from others?

What are the benefits of high density wool fibres?

Over 5000 fibres per square centimetre provides support for cushioning the body and joints as well as allowing for circulation of air.

What are the fibre lengths ?

Aussie Fleece products have fibre lengths trimmed to 25-28mm which will not ‘lay over’ or flatten under weight thereby providing ideal comfort combined with springy support.

Will I feel hot using Aussie Fleece products ?

Absolutely not !  Contrary to belief and other fleece products, you will not feel hot using an Aussie Fleece product.  Natural Australian sheepskins keep you warm in winter yet cool in warm months due to their unique ability to allow free circulation within the fibres.

What about moisture and dampness ?

Natural Australian wool absorbs up to 40% of its weight in moisture, wicking any dampness away from the body, leaving you feeling cool at all times.

Are Aussie Fleece products washable ?

Aussie Fleece products are all machine washable and will withstand many repeated washings whilst retaining their unique softness and support.

Ideally for long life we recommend using Aussie Fleece woolwash shampoo which has leather conditioners keeping the leather smooth and supple and is free of any detergents. 

All of our fleeces will come with washing instructions.

DO NOT USE BLEACHES OR FABRIC SOFTENERS.

Aussie Fleece Green HIGH TEMP fleeces can be washed at up to 80ºC and warm tumble dried.

Aussie Fleece IVORY / CHAMPAGNE / GOLD / LEMON fleeces can be washed at up to 60ºC and cool tumble dried.

After washing and or tumble drying it is recommended to lightly brush through the fibres with your finger tips and shake the fleece to fluff up the wool fibre.
